The paper considers the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, treatment, and prognosis of central pontine myelinolysis (CPM). It described a case of CPM arising in eating disorders, regular alcohol consumption, and uncontrolled use of diuretics, which cause electrolyte disturbances.
